In the Naruto series, Hokage is considered the strongest among all Kages and feared by the nations. Now, here they are ranked from strongest to weakest by analyzing their power, skills, chakra, and many other things.
1.Naruto Uzumaki
Naruto has the power of all of the Tailed Beasts [he can borrow strength and techniques from any of the Nine-tailed beasts]. He is the Jinchuriki of Kurama, the strongest of the Tailed Beasts with him of the times. Naruto's Rasenshuriken was declared as a forbidden Jutsu by Tsunade as this Jutsu kills alls the body cells of the body, which eventually kills the person. He has very high Chakra reserve, stamina, and life force [he spent an entire day training to acquire the Nine-Tails Chakra Mode, then spent more than 36 hours fighting nonstop, using thousands of shadow clones to face various S-rank Shinobi and the White Zetsu, Madara, Obito, Kaguya, and Momoshiki.
Naruto has two Sage modes. The only person in the series to have two Sage modes: Six Paths Sage Mode and Toad Sage Mode. He is the reincarnation of Ashura, the son of the Founder of Nishu. After the war, Naruto fights against Sasuke(With Rinnegan powers) by only using half of the Kurama powers and still won against him as Naruto was holding back while fighting Sasuke. After obtaining the power of Sage of six paths, Naruto surpasses Hashirama in power. Naruto can also use all the natures of the Chakra that all the tailed beast has.
2. Hashirama Senju
This man was called the God of Shinobi. That title should definitely suggest how powerful he was. In fact, he was the only one who could defeat Madara Uchiha. Hashirama had a strong life force, so strong in fact that he could heal himself without weaving any signs. . His Chakra reserves were also large, so large they could rival Tailed Beasts, so vast that having his cell implants increased the Chakra Reserves of any Shinobi by tens of folds. He also had his own Kekkei Genkai, the Wood Style, with which he could create a deep forest in the blink of an eye.
Hashirama can use Monk sage mode. Hashirama has an immense chakra level that does not have to wave any signs to heal himself. Furthermore can talk all we want, but if we have to show his serious strength, it’s the fact he fought Madara Uchiha who had Full body Sussano, EMS, and the Nine-Tails, and won.
3. Minato Namikaze
The Fourth Hokage, Yellow Flash of Hidden leaves was described as a once-in-a-lifetime prodigy by both Jiraya and Hiruzen Sarutobi. Considering the fact that they both knew about Hashirama, Madara, Tobirama, and their own level. His Flying Thunder God Jutsu was better than that of Second Hokage, and he could transport a Beast Bomb from both Kurama and the Ten-Tails. He also created Rasengan and was very proficient with the Jutsu. He also learned all of the Uzumaki sealing techniques from Kushina and her mother, so he was one of the best in Fūinjutsu. Minato ended the Third Shinobi war by defeating more than 1000 shinobi alone. Minato could defeat Ay Raikage alone.
4. Tobirama Senju
Although Tobirama Senju falls behind Minato, it is not by very much. Being a Senju Tobirama had a very large Chakra reserve and life force. He is also the best Water Style User in the entire series, topping the likes of Kisame, and the Second Mizukage. He was so proficient in Water Style that he reduced the number of Hand Seals for Water Dragon Jutsu from forty to One. He was also the creator of Shadow Clone Jutsu, The Flying Thunder God Jutsu, and the Reanimation Jutsu.
He was so powerful in fact when Orochimaru revived him at full powers, he had to focus all of his energy on keeping Tobirama under control, and Tobirama wasn’t putting in much effort. He shook the entire hideout by riling his chakra and destroyed a wall without any effort. He was also able to take down Izuna Uchiha who was said to be on the same level as Madara before gaining EMS.
5. Hiruzen Sarutobi
Hiruzen Sarutobi was regarded as the Professor and was the teacher of the Legendary Sannin. He could use all five of Nature Transformations along with Yin and Yang Release. He is said to have been able to deuce a Jutsu just by looking at the Hand Signs. Hiruzen is one of two Shinobi who have experienced and survived all Three Great Ninja Wars. Furthermore, during his prime, he was also regarded as the most powerful Kage, and God of Shinobi of that era.
Even Orochimaru feared his younger self. And last but not the least, he was trained by both First and the Second Hokage. Hiruzen can also use the dead demon-consuming seal and while fighting Orochimaru, he also fought against reanimated Hashirama and Tobirama. Hiruzen can summon the Monkey King Enma.
6.Tsunade Senju
Now, this will piss off a lot of people, but it is the truth. Tsunade is not the Weakest Hokage. Tsunade was the Granddaughter of the First Hokage and had large Chakra reserves and life force. She also had excellent Chakra Control and was the best Medical ninja in the entire series. She also had monstrous strength and in the war destroyed Madara’s perfect Sussano with her strength alone when being impaled by Sussano Blades.
But the main power possessed by Tsunade apart from her Medical expertise is the Hundred Healing Jutsu. With this Jutsu, she was near invulnerable and instantly regenerated organs. She could keep going while still being impaled by Madara’s Sussano blades. She could even survive being cut in half. This ability of hers put her on par with other Legendary Sannins [although she was weaker than both of them. She could have fought against pain if she didn't use her 100 healing Jutsu to protect the village.
7. Kakashi Hatake
Kakashi is considered as the weakest Hokage after he loses his Sharingan, otherwise, he would have easily stood above Hiruzen and Sarutobi. But he shouldn’t be underestimated by any means. Kakashi Hatake was the Copy Ninja who mastered more than Thousand Jutsus. He could also use all five nature transformations, although not as effectively and easily as the Third Hokage. Furthermore, he also had a Sharingan which he could use for a limited time, and Mangekyo Sharingan, with which he could use Kamui 3–4 times before passing out.
Still, Kakashi was a prodigy, who created his own Jutsu after becoming a Jounin. Kakashi also uses Rasengan while training Naruto. Kakashi alone defeated Zabuza(one of the seven mist swordsmen). Even after losing his Sharingan, Tsunade saw potential in him to make Hokage. Now, Kakashi is able to use purple lighting, which is one of the rarest and strongest lightning power.
